I think this is the most spectacular Church in ALL of Rochester. Now i grew up Catholic for a good majority of my life, but I can see how great it is being an Episcopalian. Episcopalian's believe more in the history of God, and finding meaning behind that history. They carry much of same doctrine as the Catholic Church without the rules of the Romans. The outside Church courtyard is truly a magnificent site, especially when the flowers are in the bloom in the Spring. The exterior/interior architecture of the church really makes you feel that your in a piece of time. The organ that is on top of the church balcony is truly a site to see, especially when it plays at the 11 o' clock Sunday Mass with the Eastman School of Music Choir.
Speaking of mass, Rev. Ruth Ferguson does a great job leading the service. She makes going to church fun, with informative readings and sermons. The power of the church, with the music makes going to mass an enjoyable experience. I always said that one day this would be the church I would want to get married at.
After church there is a coffee hour, where most of the congregation gathers for coffee and refreshments ( which taste amazing by the way). Then if you want you can volunteer at the Soup Kitchen after for " A Meal and More". Chef Jeff Caruso is an amazing renowned chef around the USA, and he contributes a 5- Star meal for the homeless. I had the pleasure of working with him at the soup kitchen many times while he cooked, and I helped out with the front of house ( of course that was my forte).
Overall: Beautiful Church, Amazing Music, Organ Player, Rev. Ruth Ferguson, Entertaining/Informative Sermons, Coffee Hour, A Meal and More, and the Power of God...of course I will be back.Added December 10, 2016 by Paul Cicotta
